Ideal for large-scale environmental applications, it provides reliable installation and long-lasting performance, minimizing the risk of displacement or damage. The CAGE 4” is a stainless steel structure with a 93 mm diameter, specifically designed to securely house FoamFlex absorbent membranes inside 4-inch piezometers. It ensures stability and protection of the absorbent material during field operations, even in demanding environments. Ideal for large-scale environmental applications, it provides reliable installation and long-lasting performance, minimizing the risk of displacement or damage.

  1. Select the Correct Size
    Choose the appropriate cage size according to the piezometer diameter and the absorbent membrane/tube being used.
  2. Insert the Absorbent Element
    Place the Sorbtube or absorbent membrane securely inside the cage, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
  3. Position Inside the Piezometer
    Lower the cage into the piezometer to the desired monitoring depth, where hydrocarbon presence is expected.
  4. Monitor & Inspect Periodically
    Regularly check the installation to verify hydrocarbon absorption and groundwater conditions.
  5. Replace When Saturated
    Remove the cage, replace the saturated absorbent element, and reinstall for continued protection and monitoring.
