Carpet with Boom coupling

This FoamFlex Carpet model is specifically designed to integrate with our vertical barrier systems. A Velcro strip along one long side allows for a secure connection to the BRFF18 barrier, enabling dual functionality: enhanced absorption capacity and effective containment of surface hydrocarbons.

Typical Applications

• Ports & Marinas: Fuel leaks during refueling, boat maintenance, or surface oil collection.
• Shipyards & Floating Workshops: Maintenance or cleaning activities releasing oils or solvents.
• Shipping & Maritime Transport: Leaks from vessels or tanks during loading/unloading.
• Offshore Platforms & Floating Units: Operational spills of lubricants or hydrocarbons.
• Environmental Emergencies: Rapid response to major spills in seas, rivers, or lakes.
• Coastal Industrial Areas: Spill prevention near drainage zones in contact with water.

Instructions for Use

• Unroll the carpet and check that it is not saturated.
• If needed, connect multiple carpets using the short-side Velcro to create a longer absorbent line.
• When used with the BRFF18 barrier, attach the carpet using the long-side Velcro.
• Place it directly on the contaminated surface—it will float automatically.
• Position it to intercept the oil slick or align it along the barrier to boost system capacity.
• Use the metal eyelets to tie ropes for easy handling, anchoring, or retrieval.
• Let it work: it absorbs oil only, allowing water to pass through.
• Monitor saturation levels periodically.
• When saturated, retrieve using ropes, and wring it with the FF15 wringer.
• After wringing, it’s ready to be deployed again.
• Reusable up to 200 cycles, significantly reducing costs and waste compared to single-use absorbents.
